PT 3-THE CHRISTOLOGY AND ITS PERSPECTIVES

CHRISTOLOGY …The illustration shown above is a known signature of the Synoptic Gospel, where Peter, James and John were then appointed to see an ideal manifestation of the “coming” Messiah. This also manifests the prophetic pronunciation of the Book of Malachi, which says “I shall send Elijah before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord”(Malachi 4:5).

The Transfiguration also depicts the Shekinah Glory in its most wondrous form, and is not something to take lightly. It represents the logos in its most fashionable way.

The “Shekinah Glory” expresses the combined image and glorious form of Yahweh. With it, the cherubims (celestial beings) complement the fullness of its manifestation and should also be referred to when indicating the pre-existence of the “logos”‘ (Christ).

As said, Christian philosophy concluded that Christ having become fully human suffered pain of temptation of mortal man, but did not sin. The follow-up on that by theologians, agreed He rose from His grave as “wholesome” God.

In Christology, the doctrine of Christ being the "Logos" has been important to prove the concept of His divinity and He being not only the "Son of God" (Yahweh), but also "God the Son" in the Trinity as in the Chalcedonian Creed.

PT 2-THE CHRISTOLOGY AND ITS PERSPECTIVES

The Necessity of a Celestial Title (Christology Perspectives)

The title “Christ”, which represents a “savior”, “leader”, “Messiah” and in extension a type of “god”,  was the title originally added to the name of Yeshua (Jesus). The need for a more celestial honor was then suggested, which He earned by proving Himself a remarkable being ,and on top of it, a fully devoted shepherd and  divine spiritual leader.

In addition, the title Kyrios being adopted was also common, seeing that earthly persons and sovereign of the state were also attributed to the earning of that title.  It was so, because a king in his domain would be looked upon as a Kyrios (lord) as well. Such kings as with the Caesar and the Pharaoh were praised as a supreme above all other deities.

The rendering unto Caesar continued its pursuit, seeing that the elders determination were to act trying to move the Messiah out-of-the-way. The elders (chief priest)…encouraged payment of “thirty (30) pieces of silver”…on betraying the Messiah with a “kiss” (Matthew 26:15—16, 48 and 49).

My Blog Title is "LOOKING BEYOND THE VEIL"

The Messiah’s pre-existence was the eye of the Christological point of view, and so, Christianity  and theologians market it a good ground to convey this basis. While their as been many theological disputes over the nature and person of Christ, during the early Christian history, Christian theologians continued to ratify their logic that Christ is God, Incarnated, “True God” and “True Man” (fully divine and fully human).
